How do I utilize the Era Ü-Turn™ lid?

To Open:

Align the mode indicator with the 'open' position indicated by the raised notch.

To Close:

Turn and line up the mode indicator on the lid with the 'closed' position on the opposite side.

To Clean/Refill:

Remove the entire lid by twisting it counterclockwise.
To remove the ColdKey™ Straw for cleaning, twist the straw halfway between the open and close positions and pull up on the straw.

Our patent-pending Ü-Turn™ Lid has three modes for stress-free sips and easy cleaning: open, locked + 100% leakproof, and centered for straw removal.

Our ColdKey™ Straw technology includes a stainless steel straw and locking mechanism to ensure plastic isn't sitting in your water all day.

Are there any accessories for the Era?

Yes! We have Magnetic Straw Caps available to protect your straw while you’re on the go. Equipped with a clever magnet, these covers perch on top of your Era.

Is the Era Leakproof?

Era Tumblers are 100% leakproof with cold beverages and carbonated beverages with ice when in the locked position.

When using it with carbonated beverages, on an airplane or at high altitudes, pressure will build up inside and may escape through the straw upon unlocking. To alleviate the pressure and prevent this from happening, slowly turn the mode indicator to the left until you hear a complete release before opening all the way.

Do not use your Ü-Turn™ lid in the locked position with hot beverages as pressure will build up and hot liquid may expel from the tops or sides. Hot beverages should only be used in the open position.

How much does the Era hold?

The Era Series is available in 3 convenient sizes: 20 oz, 30oz, and 40oz sizes.

Will the Era fit in my car's cup holder?

The Era Series is designed to be cup-holder-friendly. This being said, not all cup holders are the same.

How long can the Era keep my drink hot or cold?

The Era series will keep your drink cold for 24+ hours. The more ice you use, the longer it’ll stay cold. To maximize ice-retention we recommend filling it up with at least 50% ice.

WARNING: We do not recommend use with hot beverages - Using hot beverages with a straw poses a scalding risk. The Era series will keep your drinks very hot for extended periods of time. Liquid drawn up into the straw from the bottom of your cup will be hotter than liquid out at the top. To prevent accidental injury, never use your Era with liquids hot enough to scald and ensure your drink is at a sippable temperature before drinking it.

How do I clean the Era?

Most Era colors are dishwasher-safe. If your Era is dishwasher safe, it will say it on the product landing page (near the add-to-cart button), as well as on the base of the product itself. All Era Ü-Turn™ Lids and ColdKey™ Straws are dishwasher safe.

To clean your lid, ensure that you remove the ColdKey™ metal straw by turning it to the left and pulling it out. Additionally, twist the mode indicator on the lid to the center position and pull it to remove the top straw assembly. The silicone straw and lid gasket can be disassembled and removed for thorough cleaning as well.

Do the Era lids fit any other BrüMate products?

Era 30oz + 40oz lids are interchangeable, however, be sure to use the correct size stainless steel straw as the 40oz is longer than the 30oz.

Era 20oz lid is not compatible with other BrüMate products.

Can I use MCT oil or coconut oil in my Era?

Do not use MCT oil or coconut oil in your BrüMate products, as it can damage the integrity of the leakproof seal.
